Wattle Range Council will donate $29,400 to 21 local community and sporting groups in the first of two funding rounds in this financial year.
Council?s October monthly meeting in Millicent this afternoon endorsed a staff recommendation without comment about the 21 groups to be funded.
There were five community groups and two sporting clubs who were unsuccessful but their identities were not revealed in the staff report.
The successful applicants appear below:

Applications were ?invited from eligible Community Groups in the Wattle Range Council area for grant funding to assist in the development of a broad range of projects and events through Round one of the 2012/13 Community Financial Assistance Grant Program.
A total of $15,000 is available in each of 2 grant funding rounds in 2012/2013, for allocation to eligible Community groups and organisations.
Applications for Round?1 opened on August 13 and closed at 5 pm on Friday?September 7 ?2012.
Applications were considered for a maximum grant value of $2,000.
Similar criteria and $15,000 applied to eligible sporting and recreation clubs in the council area.
Council also has $4,000 to distribute in 2012/13 for the Canunda Power Environmental Grants but no applications were received in the first funding round.
